A Delay Averted

Each time a scan has been ordered as part of my treatment there has been a major delay because of scheduling issues. After my emergency room visit, as I described in a previous post, one doctor ordered a CT Urogram scan. This could have delayed my proton therapy treatments another three to four weeks.

After reviewing the lab results conducted in the hospital and the doctor’s office, my Dream Team at Proton Therapy Institute decided I did not need this scan. And I agree!

Without further delay, we will move ahead with the critical MRI on February 17. (I’m also on a waiting/cancellation list)

Every time I see a nurse, I thank them for their service.
