Today, Monday, February 20, 2023, I received a call from the Proton Therapy Institute, and I am scheduled to go back to Jacksonville this week for my final staging procedures. They have provided me with 12 pages of instructions through the Proton Therapy Institute portal. After the staging procedures are completed, I should know the schedule for the actual proton therapy treatments.
One of the procedures that I’ll go through this week requires noxious oxide (laughing gas). I have never had this before, but it can be used to manage anxiety and pain. AND.. it is self-administered. Knowing my threshold of pain, I’ll probably be walking around Jacksonville with a big smile on my face this week.
I’ve also talked with Melissa at Third & Main, so my accommodations are all set. Melissa also told me that typically after the staging procedures are completed the actual proton therapy starts one to two weeks after these procedures. Melissa will hold a room for me anticipating a one-week start after staging.

Can you believe we have never taken the tour. Been up there on my motorcycle but never been inside.Have to put that on my bucket list.LTA
